I crawled into Dr. Faler’s office after multiple failed surgeries and living on pain medication for years. I was living in chronic pain, almost unable to move, and completely unable to function mentally because of heavy does of pain medication. I had honestly given up hope for my future while sitting in the waiting room for my appointment with another doctor; I read a magazine article about Dr. Faler and his treatment procedure. The next week I phoned for an appointment, without much hope of any help…I did keep the appointment. With that appointment the blessings began for me and my life changed drastically.
Dr. Faler took a series of x-rays that I saw on my next visit. I was shocked to see that the source of my pain was from a disk in my back, I had been incorrectly treated for years for my chronic pain. The x-rays also revealed multiple other problems. After one week of treatment, I knew that Dr. Faler was the answer to my problems. Three weeks into treatment, I knew that Dr. Faler had me moving almost pain free, for the first time in years without any pain medication. First and foremost I thank my God for answering my prayers and helping me to find you. I had prayed a lot about relieving my headaches and I am sure you, with your special talents, were the answer to those prayers.
I have had many illnesses and surgeries in the last few years after enjoying the previous 59 years in excellent health. My health began to deteriorate 9 years ago when I had a heart attack and by-pass surgery. In the last two or three years I have had severe headaches increasingly often, culminating in severe daily headaches about six months ago. I saw my primary family doctor about the problem, and my cardiologist, and an orthopedic surgeon, and a neurologist. All of them, excellent medical doctors, prescribed increasingly heavier drugs to combat the headaches which, each of them said, were resulting from deteriorating discs in my spine. They also said that, short of spinal surgery; there was nothing that could be done about the underlying cause of the headaches.
Recently, my wife kept suggesting that I should, perhaps, see a chiropractor for the headaches. I resisted strongly. I had an unfortunate experience with a chiropractor many years ago with a sports injury, and this led me to believe that chiropractic was not a legitimate solution to problems. I was monumentally wrong in that belief!
When she finally convinced me that I should try a chiropractor, a month or so ago, my wife made an appointment for me with you. I was skeptical, but I was at my wit’s end, in severe daily pain, and willing to try anything. My “quality of life” had drastically deteriorated, and I was beginning to get very depressed.
The very first time I came to your office, you took x-rays and examined me. I returned the next day for your opinion. I had a severe headache when I came in. This is amazing. For the first time in 2 years, I do not have hip pains and radiating pain down my left leg to my ankle, I can actually lie on my left hip to sleep. I recently injured my neck as a result of using a chain saw and some heavy lifting causing a misalignment in the upper cervical. When I first heard about Dr. Faler from my brother-in-law I was a bit skeptical. The processes of UCC sounded too good to be true. No snap,crackle and pop? No rough twisting and turning? The results for my brother-in-law were immediate. He no longer needed his anti-acid medicine he'd been on for weeks. But most of all his mood had improved immensely.
With a long history of many ailmants including a fushion of my C-4, C-5 nad a long history of trying to get relief through many different methods along with having lived in near constant pain for about 5-6 years, I figured I had nothing to lose. I called and made an appointment. Then I made the trip from Florida to Mandeville, LA.
After the inital exam, I prepared for my adjustment. As I lay on the very low to the ground table and received my first NUCCA adjustment, Ican remember thinking, "Oh boy, I just wasted a whole day for NOTHING!!!" I just knew this was a total waste of my time.
When I arrived back in Florida that night, I was a little shocked to find that I felt as though I had been hit by a truck. My whole body was sore. How could this be, I wondered, from that ever so slight adjustment?
And of course it only gets better from there. When I awoke from my nights sleep, I got out of bed and was able, for the first time in about four years to place both feet on the ground and walk to the bathroom. This was like a miracle. I had not even mentioned this problem yet. I was too concerned with the major headaches I was having. Every morning when I used to wake up, my left foot would not touch the ground flat because of some nerve issues (as described by other doctor's I had seen for this), I could not place my foot flat on the ground. I had to hobble every morning for about 10-15 minutes, until my muscles released before I could walk regular. This was also very painful. I had pain from my heel all the way up the back of my leg.
I cannot say enough about how pleased I am with you and your staff. I will continue to make the regular trip to Dr. Faler's office every 1- 2 weeks for my adjustments.
